Central Services - Administration Assistant (36 hours per week)
The Administration Assistant will be responsible for the provision of support to the Personal Assistant to the Chief Officer and other senior staff, where appropriate, within Central Services. The postholder will be required to undertake a number of administrative tasks including the preparation of agendas and minute taking at a number of Home Department meetings. He/she will also assist with the implementation of the gambling legislation, assist the Liquor Licensing Officer with the supervision of Liquor Licence exams and provide administrative support for the Emergency Planning Officer and Drug and Alcohol Strategy Coordinator.
Applicants must possess the ability to write clearly and concisely in order to create correspondence and prepare minutes. He/she must good organisational and interpersonal skills with an ability to maintain confidentiality and work flexibly as part of a small team. Although not essential, possession of good IT skills and minute taking experience would be advantageous.
Due to the nature of the post and the location in which it is based all shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo a full police check
