This exceptionally diverse and
challenging strategic role provides an exciting opportunity for a talented
individual to make a real impact both within and outside the Public Service.
The Chief Officer C&E will act as principal advisor to the Minister and Members of the Department on all areas covered by the Department's mandate.
As a senior leader in the States
of Guernsey Civil Service, the post holder will be expected to play a key role
in leading Public Sector initiatives that cut across all areas of Government
beyond the mandate of C&E and meet the objectives of the States Strategic
Plan.
The successful candidate will have a postgraduate or professional qualification in Economics, Commerce or Regulation and will have experience of working at a very senior level in a sizeable organisation with diverse and complex work streams.
The successful candidate will also have an excellent reputation within local industry, along with an in depth knowledge of the key issues facing the industry, and a wealth of managerial experience at a very senior level.
